When Chris Cornell was about to release his 1999 solo debut, he was dissuaded from his first choice for the title, Euphoria Mourning. Now, 16 years later, Universal Music Enterprises is re-releasing the remastered album under its original name on August 14, for the first time on vinyl as well as reissuing digitally and on CD. Euphoria Mourning will be pressed on 180 gram vinyl and include a download card featuring 320 kbps MP4 audio ripped directly from the vinyl.
“The title of the record has been restored to its original spelling,” notes Chris. “Which was changed before release after I listened to some bad advice.”

Chris Cornell has added two new dates to his previously announced North American tour, in support of his new studio album Higher Truth.
The additional shows will be at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix on September 17 and at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego on September 18.
The multi-city trek will give fans the chance to see Chris perform in an unplugged, up close and personal setting and will include songs spanning his entire career. Chris will also introduce songs from Higher Truth, which is produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Neil Young) and scheduled for release on September 18.
For the two new shows, fans have access to a special presale which runs from 10am PST on June 16 to 10pm PST on June 18. In addition, an exclusive San Diego presale for American Express cardholder members will begin on June 17 at 10am PST. For both dates, promoter’s presale is on June 19 and tickets for the general public will go onsale beginning June 20 at 10am (local time). See tour page for details and links.
